Are you interested in contributing to the growth, and development of Norsk Titanium's Plattsburgh production facility? We are currently seeking a committed Director of Operations to lead and coordinate Norsk Titanium's partnership with New York State, while also interacting with community based organizations such as the North Country Chamber of Commerce, and the Plattsburgh Rotary Club. If you have experience in organizing workflow to meet specific deadlines, supervising and evaluating the performance of production personnel, and are a champion of both quality and compliance, then we encourage you to apply for this position.

As Director of Operations, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading Norsk Titanium's EHS programs and while also being responsible for strict compliance throughout the P&L of the business.
  • Developing and implementing execution plans for the business, including talent development, procedures, systems and controls to ensure long term goals are met.
  • Approving maintenance work, purchasing of equipment, etc. with respect to capital budgeting.
  • Collaboration and support for execution strategy of new markets and products for the business unit to ensure long term sustainable growth.
  • Implementing operating systems, procedures and controls to maximize efficiency of operations and protect company assets.
  • Developing project management and execution resources, skills, controls and systems to support the growth of the business in this area.
  • Developing and implementing effective and proactive quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives throughout all sites in Plattsburgh in collaboration with the Quality Department.


Who you are:

  • BS in Management, MBA is preferred, but not essential.
  • Relevant experience in operational leadership, with a compliment of supply chain oversight (10+ years).
  • Strong character, with influencing skills both internally and externally. The scope of this role will mean it is necessary to aggressively grow, and drive flawless execution and add/coach staff as required.
  • Experience carrying full operational and business development profit and loss responsibility.
  • Skills in aerospace sector or additive manufacturing to allow immediate impact is preferable.
  • Demonstrable success in career to date, leading to Sr. leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven experience in building and developing an effective talent base, strong, collaborative business teams.
  • Black belt or Greenbelt Lean/6 Sigma certification preferred.
