Norsk Titanium is recruiting top talent to join us at the dawn of the new industrial age and is currently seeking a Director of Human Resources to join our growing organization.  This individual should have extensive experience managing Human Resources teams within the manufacturing sector, along with proven collaborative, and innovative leadership skills. The Director of Human Resources will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Global HR Staff and Directors/Managers, and will report to the Vice President of Human Resources.

This solutions-oriented role will focus on the creation of policies, processes and practices, with an additional focus on continuous improvement throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic implementer with sound technical and analytical skills, that's also comfortable providing coaching to line leaders and employees.

As Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for:

  • Understanding the business, goals, culture and global challenges; systemically diagnosing business and organizational issues; designing and implementing solutions that shape culture, building organization capability and enabling business results & meaningful culture change.
  • Overseeing and supporting the members and activities of the HR Operations team responsible for the delivery and support of talent acquisition, benefits, compensation, compliance, onboarding and off-boarding of employees, leaves of absence and other employee life-cycle related programs.
  • Ensuring HR compliance with all policies, regulations and requirements in all domestic and international jurisdictions.
  • Establishing best practices, driving process improvement around talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training and leadership development, and compensation and benefits
  • Acting as a trusted advisor for functional team leaders. Building the business partner relationship with management and staff. Providing coaching to line leaders and employees to support people management and performance management processes.
  • Serving as a point of escalation for problem solving on challenging and complex employee relations matters. Developing recommendations and providing guidance to managers for resolutions. Analyzing trends and root causes and looks for opportunities to improve work environment and client group satisfaction when appropriate.
  • Bringing immediate credibility to the human resources function through professional qualifications, experience, leadership, and highest levels of integrity.
  • Leading a process of organization development that plans, communicates, and integrates the results of strategic planning throughout the organization.


The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, including experience leading a Human Resources department and team, while also supporting a globally diverse employee population.
  • Candidates must be a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional. A master's degree in a related field is also preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Strong employee relations experience involving Human Resource management and staff consultation, training and development, and performance management.
  • The ability to translate organizational priorities into people initiatives and serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership on matters of significance for the organization.
  • Effective communication, relationship building and influencing skills; ability to work with leadership to gain consensus around HR strategies and tactics.
  • High degree of integrity and honesty; demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality and neutrality in complex and sensitive situations.
